ReFH Spreadsheet is an Excel-based tool developed by CEH Wallingford to implement the Revitalised Flood Hydrograph (ReFH) rainfall–runoff method from the UK Flood Estimation Handbook. It provides a transparent, traceable workflow for deriving design flood hydrographs and peak flow estimates for rural and urban catchments, especially where gauged flow data are limited. Users input standard FEH catchment descriptors and design rainfall to generate time-varying hydrographs, peak discharge, runoff volume, and other key statistics for flood risk assessment, drainage design, and regulatory submissions. Built in a familiar spreadsheet environment, ReFH Spreadsheet makes it straightforward to review assumptions, audit calculations, and test scenarios for specified storm durations and return periods.
